Fork Lift Driver

Straight Forward Recruitment are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production / FLT Operative to join our client’s team within the bagging area at Origin UK Operations. This is a temporary position running until April 2026. The role involves supporting the fertiliser bagging process, accurately labelling product bags, and operating an FLT to manage finished bulk bags.

Shift Pattern

• 06:00 – 18:00
  (Shift length may be shortened depending on workload)

Pay Rate

• FLT Driver: £13.00 per hour

  • Overtime: £19.50 per hour (after 40 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Work in the bagging area to support daily production.

• Clearly write and record mixture contents on fertiliser bulk bags before filling.

• Position bags over the feed station and ensure correct inflation before loading.

• Monitor the filling process (up to 600kg per bag) and stop when required.

• Ensure filled bags move safely along the conveyor system.

• Tie bags securely with plastic ties when stationary on the conveyor.

• Operate an FLT to lift and move completed bags at the end of the conveyor.

• Follow all on-site health and safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Report mechanical issues or quality concerns promptly.

Skills and Requirements

• Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Telehandler preferred).

• Previous production or warehouse experience beneficial.

• Ability to follow instructions and record accurate information.

• Comfortable with manual handling and working around machinery.

• Safety-conscious, reliable, and detail-oriented.

• Able to work a 06:00–18:00 shift as required.
