General Factory Operative

Straight Forward Recruitment are actively looking for a factory operative to work in a timber company in East Harling, this is a temporary ongoing placement with the potential for a permanent position for the right individual. 

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAIABLE FOR W/C 26th August

• SHIFT: MONDAY to FRIDAY
• HOURS: 07h30 – 17h00
• PAY: £11.50 per hour

As a factory operative:

You will be working within the production area of a timber manufacturer.
You will be working with teams of 3 factory operatives and supporting them in the production of wooden frames and joists.
Working within the team you will lift and position the timber onto a jig. Then position the metal fixings onto and underneath the areas to be joined together.
An appointed team leader with then operate the jig and compress the metal fixings into the timber.
Once this process has been completed, working in pairs you will stack the finished item onto another provided trolley.
Once all the items have been produced, then an appointed Forklift Driver will remove the finished order to another designated area of the site, for despatch.
Whilst adhering to all of the required Health and Safety best practice across the site, you will also be quired to undertake any other related duties, such as housekeeping and maintain a clean working environment.

SKILLS: 

No specific skills are required, however as the position is of a physical nature, similar experience, being methodical, repetitive work, lifting and carrying would be preferred.

Own Transport is essential for thid position due to location,
