Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are looking for a motivated and dependable Goods In/Out Operative to join our client’s team at a cutting-edge vertical farming facility.

• Location: Norwich

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
• Pay: £12.21 per hour (increasing to £12.27 after 2 weeks)
• Temp to Permanent Opportunity

About the Role:

You’ll be an essential part of the warehouse team, responsible for packing finished goods, managing stock, handling yard duties, receiving and dispatching deliveries, and preparing all necessary documentation. This is a fast-paced role ensuring produce is packed, stored, and shipped accurately and on time to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Accurately pack and label harvested produce following customer specifications and food safety standards

·         Monitor and maintain stock levels, conduct inventory counts, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO)

·         Safely load/unload goods and maintain a clean, hazard-free yard

·         Check incoming deliveries and report any discrepancies or damages

·         Prepare goods for dispatch and handle delivery documentation in coordination with logistics teams

Requirements:

·         Previous warehouse, logistics, or food production experience preferred

·         Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail

·         Ability to work efficiently in a chilled, fast-paced environment

·         Basic computer skills for stock and dispatch records

·         Forklift or pallet truck experience is a plus but not essential

·         Strong communication skills and a team player mind-set
