Straight Forward Recruitment are actively looking Goods In Coordinator, for a leading UK manufacturer based near Diss.

Working within the Goods Inwards team, the Goods Inwards Co-ordinator role is required to facilitate and administer efficient receipt of goods into the Company.

Together with supporting the Goods Inwards and Inspection Controller, in the efficient running of the Goods Inwards team.

Job Role

As a key team member of the Goods Inwards team, you will be required to undertake the following duties:

Working to the Purchasing, Goods Inward and all other Company Procedures.

Managing incoming deliveries into Good Inwards and the yard.

Book in deliveries from suppliers, checking that the information matches the purchase order and undertake general checks in relation to product conformity to drawing and or specification.

Receiving packages and carry out initial checks to ensure the quantity, description and quality match the delivery note and purchase order.

Filing delivery notes and other documents utilising electronic systems where available.

Where necessary unloading and loading deliveries as required by the business, with the aid of a Forklift truck.

Raising of Purchase orders for sub contract items and tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery.

Carry out First Article checks on new products with support of the Engineering Department as they arrive.

Deputising for the Goods Inwards and Inspection Controller as necessary.

Keeping the Goods In Office tidy and safe at all times.

To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested, related to your role.

 

Skills Required

Although additional training will be given, you must have at least 1 year experience, in a Goods Inwards role. Ideally in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Good administrative skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. With excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of precision with regard to documentation, computer work, stock counts and checking accuracy of documents etc.

An excellent level of computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Office products.

Ability to work using your initiative to a high standard with excellent attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines.

Valid Forklift licence or willing to be trained

 

Own Transport is also essential for the position due to location.
