Production/Warehouse Operative – FLT qualified

Straight Forward Recruitment are looking for a Production/Warehouse Operative – FLT qualified for a long term position near Watton. 

Working Hours: 

• Monday to Thursday 08h00 – 17h00
• Friday 08h00 – 15h00 however there may be requirements to stay up to 5pm due to deliveries/collections.
• Must have Counter Balance Licence and ideally Pivot Steer 

Pay: £12.25 per hour 

Working under the day to day control of the Production Planner and reporting to Technical Supervisor, the position of Production/Warehouse Operative – (FLT qualified) is to provide support through all areas of production and in accordance with business and customer needs. 

Duties:

• Loading and unloading lorries using FLT
• Replenish pick face location for componentry
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around storage facility
• Ensure 100% compliance with stock rotation ensuring correct version numbers being picked in accordance with kitting sheets/manufacturing orders
• mixing of IBC’s as instructed
• Checking incoming/outgoing goods and verifying.
• Maintenance of FLT’s and performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and  lubricating equipment and raising any maintenance or safety issues immediately with management
• FLT general work around site and general housekeeping ensuring all areas of site are clean and tidy on a regular basis.  May involve use of powered sweeper
• General duties around the site
• To have a flexible approach to work in order to meet changing business requirements (ie holiday cover, shift change cover etc)
• Line work when required as per needs of the business
• Fully co-operate with site management
• Compliance to Health and Safety rules at all times
• Compliance to all company policies, practices and standard operating procedures and to work within the guidelines as stated
